Archive Caretaker Fellowship | 2021
March 14 — April 11, 2021 at the Memoryhaus in Historic South Central
The archives belong to the people, together we will take care of our histories in order to figure out our futures. The Archive Caretaker Fellowship is a collective learning experience empowering the intution and curiosity of local artists, thinkers, and doers. What began as 3-months of shared study for our inaugural class is culminating in a public presentation where the community may join in an exploration of overlooked histories, unimagined futures, and contemporary solutions with their archive caretakers.
This communal celebration is a display of the many methods by which we have always archived our experiences as Black and Brown people and an invitation to honor our capacity as caretakers of ancestral knowledge.
