ARCHIVE CARETAKER FELLOWSHIP

Our Archive Caretaker Fellowship is designed to empower intuition and reward the curiosity of local artists and archivists. The fellowship includes six months of collective learning, studio practice, and communal exhibition. Fellows explore our intuitive pedagogy and identify information to be shared and archived in an exhibition of material artifacts, visual essays, and audio records.

  • The application for the 2023-24 Archive Caretaker Fellowship program are available here. All applications are due by September 18, 2023 at 11:59pm.

    • Artists and archivists of any medium who are near Los Angeles, CA are invited to apply.

    • The fellowship includes eight weeks of online study and in-person practice, followed by three months of creative production at Memoryhaus 555 and culminates in a six-week group exhibition in Spring 2024.

    • The fellowship centers our Intuitive Pedagogy inclusive of seven areas of study: abundance, movement, technology, nature, space, time, and love.

    • Fellows will develop four research notes and one material artifact, visual essay or audio record.

    • The fellowship is facilitated by current archive caretakers and studio residents.
