A diasporic collective learning initiative that exists decidedly outside the confines of academia, higher education, and imperial school systems. Driven by the spirit of figuring it out together, our intuitive pedagogy creates conditions for collective dreaming in order to remember intuition and restore indigeneity.

Ne__o Griot Residency is an experimental study group and studio incubator for Black artists and researchers honoring oral tradition. Presented by the ITS-IN-SCOPE Institute for Intuition and in partnership with Legacy Library, Ne__o Griot operates outside institutional carcerality and within cooperative economics in order to avail collective learning pedagogy, alternative recording spaces, and a cohort of collaborators to sustain an ancestral kind of creating-researching-learning community akin to Negros & Griots. Through invitation and orientation, the participating study group will commence in Winter 2026 and culminate in Summer 2026. Operationalized with a seasonal framework and partnership ecosystem that supports participants from studying & practicing, to recording & archiving, and and finally a public presentation of a compilation record and performance series developed together.
