A contextualizing archive for ancestral, intuitive, and subjective memory-keeping. Consisting of material, written, visual, and sonic ephemera this archive is oriented by our intuitive pedagogy and interdependent research development. Thesis collections and exhibitions are regularly produced to concentrate the archive’s scope and engage in re-membering as a social practice.

March 26 — April 23, 2023 at Residency: Project Space in Downtown Inglewood, CA

Telepathic Rhythms is an archival and artistic study of movement as it relates to Black, Indigenous, and natural experiences. We dance, we diaspora, we defy borders and definition. Shapeshifting. Migrating. In rhythm and indivisible. Naturals at the groove. Knowing just how to move. May we have forgotten a step?

This collaborative showcase at Residency Art Gallery functioned as a shared re-membering through featured works from ITS-IN-SCOPE archive caretakers, ITS-IN-SCOPE artists-in-residence, as well as artists and archivists in our community.
