Material Artifact

Crowns is a multimedia project capturing the cultural and entrepreneurial legacy of the family behind One of A Kind Hats, a three-generation Black owned hat shop in the Los Angeles community of Windsor Hills. Mother-daughter duo Meeka Robinson-Davis and Christiana Davis explore themes of cultural significance, adaptation and resilience in their featured interview with journalist and ITS-IN-SCOPE Fellow, Annalie Juan. A set of four, 8”x10” framed interview and photographs; printed on 93 GSM vellum paper. Featuring Meeka Robinson-Davis and Christiana Davis of One of A Kind Hats.
