Tuesday - Friday: 2pm - 5pm
In partnership with the Pomona 4As we developed and installed the Library for Researching and Remembering at the Alliance Community Cultural Center in Downtown Pomona. This physical space exists to support artists, researchers, students, and workers in re-membering intuition and indigenous histories to further our sovereignty. Our space boasts a curated selection of over 300 titles, inclusive of artbooks, anthologies, isms, essays, poems, publications, reports, novels, guides, textbooks, and zines within a cozy environment featuring a research table and couch seating. As an alternative learning and leisure, our library serves as a quiet sanctuary within a bustling community center that may offer visitors new perspectives, ancestral histories, inspiration, and a source of celebration for Black and Indigenous creativity past and present.
Come by to read, meet with community members, quietly study, or sit with texts from our collection. We ask that you respect the pages, treat the portal like your momma’s house, and enjoy all books within the sanctuary of our space.
