For the Nuit Noire ‘25 Black August activation in partnership with KITFO TV and Cushy Collective we produced a film portrait pop-up inspired by their theme of repatriation. Our photo installation was setup in the Plant Chica greenhouse and comprised of a striped denim mudcloth featuring a custom print by Marvin James affixed to the backdrop with Omowale Speaks For Me pins honoring Malcolm X’s visit to Nigeria and the ‘child who comes home’ in all Africans living across the diaspora.
