PARTNERSHIP INQUIRY

A creative research studio at the intersection of indigenous histories and intuitive futures. Through our cooperative practice and intercommunal services we aim to inspire the public into innovative-ancient ways of being. We be in community, through arts, and towards a vision informed by intuition, context, and ancestors. Our research services are offered as an extension of our studio practice in order to support aligned artists and organizations in building and reflecting a world we’re collectively imagining and remembering.

Pomona 4As (African American Advisory Alliance)

To address the racial division and senseless violence in our nation, in June 2020, a few dozen Black advocates, educators, elders, faith-based leaders, and youth met with Pomona Mayor Tim Sandoval to have a solution driven conversation. From this initial discussion, a smaller group of Black leaders from the larger conversation formed the African American Advisory Alliance (Pomona4As) as a 501(c)(3) and set the aim towards efforts of reconciliation and equity in our community. Pomona4As submitted a proposal to utilize a City owned property to the Mayor and Council. It was accepted with a unanimous vote. We celebrated our grand opening on Juneteenth 2021 and opened the Alliance Community Cultural Center at 406 W. 2nd Street in Downtown Pomona.

The Pomona4As is a collaborative effort to build and promote programs to ensure Black Empowerment Movement of Reconciliation & Equity (BE MORE).
